- All temporary works must be assessed to identify where a design is required.
- Safe Installation
- All temporary works, including proprietary temporary works, must be installed in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions or design documentation.
- All temporary works must be inspected prior to use to validate its correct installation.
- Physical Protection of Temporary Works
- Install physical protection to prevent temporary works being struck, damaged, or undermined by plant, vehicles, or live traffic, using barriers, exclusion controls, or other suitable protection.
- Establish Exclusion Zones where temporary works are incomplete, unstable, or at risk of collapse or falling objects, physically prevent entry using barriers and signage, and ensure no persons enter until the area is confirmed safe.
